Our firm’s significant experience in European Union Law stems not only from our involvement in the process of harmonizing Cyprus laws with the acquis communautaire, by drafting several pieces of national legislation, introduced in preparation of Cyprus accession to the EU but is also founded in the qualifications and expertise gained by our legal practitioners who have graduated from top European universities and many of whom have worked in EU General Directorates.

Our EU law practice lawyers have an in-depth understanding of EU institutions and policies and combine extensive experience in both the private and public sector, advising companies, industry associations and governmental bodies. They assist clients with achieving their business objectives, offering representation across the main regulatory fields governed by EU law, including competition, trade, environment, free movement of goods and services, consumer protection, privacy and data protection. Our lawyers also possess considerable regulatory experience in specific regulated industries such as financial services, cosmetics, chemicals, technology, e-commerce and telecommunications.

We advise on European business grant schemes, European Territorial Cooperation Programmes, EU funding programmes and the submission of proposals related to research and innovation.

Our firm also regularly advises significant international investment institutions, who are key players in the world’s investment market, on the provision of investment services according to the Directive of the European Union on Markets in Financial Instruments Directive (I) and (II) (MIFID). Such advice relates to matters of cross-border nature, financial instruments and reverse solicitation. We also frequently advise Cyprus investment firms on managing alternative investment firms, as well as advising on the expansion of Cyprus investment firms to alternative investment firms.
