Senior associate Ioanna Sapidou participated in a seminar regarding Compliance of the Pharmaceutical Sector with the Legislation on the Protection of Personal Data, at both national and EU level.
The seminar, which took place 13-14 July 2015, focused in particular on the conditions governing the collection, processing and transfer of personal data in the context of clinical trials, pharmacovigilance and the EFPIA (European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations) Disclosure Code. Furthermore, the seminar provided an overview of the main provisions of the proposal for a Regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council on the protection of individuals, with regard to the processing of personal data and the free movement of such data (General Data Protection Regulation).
