On 25 November 2025, the Republic of Cyprus and the Republic of Lebanon signed an Agreement on the Delimitation of their Exclusive Economic Zones (EEZs) in Beirut.
This milestone Agreement is the third concluded between Cyprus and neighbouring countries, following those with Egypt (2003) and Israel (2010), and represents a further step in reinforcing Cyprus’ sovereign rights in the Eastern Mediterranean under International Law.
