Cyprus chapter – Global freezing order guide

Our firm is among contributors to the Eversheds Sutherland Global Freezing Order Guide, having provided the information for Cyprus.
The Guide provides a practical overview of freezing orders and their local law equivalents in 90 jurisdictions worldwide.
For each jurisdiction, the Guide sets out whether a freezing order (or equivalent) can be obtained, the test for doing so and the types of assets which can be frozen. It also explains implications for third parties (such as banks) who are often notified of such orders to give effect to them, and the consequences for third parties of breach.
