Stella Dekatris joined the firm as an Associate in October 2021 after completing her traineeship with the firm. During her traineeship, she had the opportunity to acquire diverse experience in both the litigation and corporate departments of the firm with a particular emphasis on civil litigation, matrimonial disputes, and non-contentious regulatory matters. Going forward, Stella will be focusing on commercial and civil litigation, as well as family law. Having completed an approved training program for accredited family mediators, Stella is a fully qualified family law mediator in Cyprus.

Areas of Practice


Stella has assisted with and worked on a number of civil litigation cases where she has reviewed the brief, researched legal issues, wrote advice and updates to clients and drafted pre-action letters and pleadings.

Throughout her academic studies, Stella maintained a special interest in family law having written an LLM dissertation on “no fault divorce” in England and Wales. She is able to apply her special interest in family law through her practice with the firm, where she follows divorce and matrimonial property disputes at all stages, from the initial client interview to the full hearing or settlement negotiations. Having completed an approved training program for accredited family mediators, Stella is a fully qualified family law mediator in Cyprus.

Stella has worked on the completion of questionnaires and advice to clients, covering several regulatory issues with a particular emphasis on the Payment Services Directive and Electronic Money Directive, as well as change of control requirements and procedures regarding credit institutions.

Stella takes part in both vendors’ and purchasers’ due diligence exercises where she checks the status and good standing of the companies involved in the transaction, reviews agreements and assists with the drafting of the reports.
