Junior Associate Aya Sousak joined our team in September 2025, having previously completed her traineeship with the firm.
Her practice focuses on privacy and data protection law, where she assists clients with internal compliance projects, ad hoc matters, and interactions with Regulatory Authorities.
Aya also supports both local and international clients on a broad range of regulatory matters, including artificial intelligence, telecommunications, cybersecurity and consumer protection law. She provides guidance on the application and enforcement of EU and national legislation, helping clients address regulatory risks and ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.

Areas of Practice
As a member of the Data Protection team, Aya actively supports clients on a range of data protection compliance projects. Her experience includes the review and drafting of privacy and cookie policies, Records of Processing Activities (RoPAs), Data Processing Agreements (DPAs), Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs), and Data Transfer Impact Assessments (DTIAs).
She also assists clients in dealing with the Data Protection Authority, including responding to regulatory inquiries, investigations, and preparing formal submissions.
Telecommunications, Media & Technology Law
Aya advises clients on regulatory developments and enforcement under EU and national legislation, with a focus on artificial intelligence, telecommunications, cybersecurity, and consumer protection law.
Aya supports a range of intellectual property matters. She has experience drafting and reviewing IP clauses in commercial agreements, preparing cease and desist letters, and providing legal opinions on issues relating to copyright and geographical indications, including protected designations of origin.
