Dr Kypros Chrysostomides attends the Global Law Summit 2015

Following an invitation by the British High Commission in Cyprus, Dr Kypros Chrysostomides attended the Global Law Summit in London, launched by Secretary of State for Justice and Lord Chancellor, the Rt. Hon. Chris Grayling MP, to mark 800 years since the sealing of Magna Carta.

The event brought together over 170 expert speakers and around 2000 practitioners, business leaders, public sector decision makers and government officials from around the world, who discussed, debated, and developed relationships across markets and jurisdictions. Among others, the Summit focused on:

• Celebrating judicial traditions and the fundamental importance of impartiality, integrity and fairness
• Championing the Rule of Law as the cornerstone of a fair and just society
• Offering a platform for thought-leadership and cutting-edge debate, and
• Facilitating business networks and access to key industry decision makers

Dr Chrysostomides attended sessions on varying subjects, including “Delivering justice in a digital age”, “International business disputes”, “Law as a driver for integrity and development in government procurement”, “Magna Carta principles and the need for speed” and “Energy in the 21st century”.
