Petros Theofilou is a Senior Associate in the firm’s litigation department. He handles matters involving constitutional and administrative law, contract law disputes, tort and personal injuries, criminal law, as well as landlords and tenants law.
He represents clients before the District Court, the Administrative Court and the Rent Control Tribunal. His practice also includes the provision of legal opinions.

Constitutional, Public & Administrative Law
Petros has acquired significant experience in constitutional, public and administrative law. He advises public bodies and local authorities on the interpretation and application of laws, in relation to the constitutionality of laws, on fair procedures in fulfilling statutory functions and on administrative actions where necessary. He also represents clients before the Administrative Court in recourses involving a wide variety of public and administrative law matters, such as appointments and promotions in public services and applications for planning permissions and building permits.
Litigation, Arbitration & Mediation
Petros advises and represents clients before the Cyprus Courts. His practice covers a variety of civil litigation issues, such as contractual and commercial disputes, landlord and tenant disputes, negligence and tortious claims. He regularly deals with criminal cases. He also drafts legal opinions and other contractual documentation.
Petros regularly advises clients on various aspects of corporate and commercial law, including directors’ duties, shareholder, minority shareholder rights and disputes, appointment and duties of receivers/managers and enforcement of securities.
Petros is regularly involved in banking litigation. He also advises clients on matters involving debt recovery.
