Associate Maria Korneliou joined the firm in September 2018, having previously acquired diverse work experience through internships at Foley Hoag LLP (New York), the United Nations (New York), and the European Commission (Brussels). Maria undertakes cases for both the litigation and corporate department, working primarily on matters of company law, commercial disputes that often include aspects of arbitration, and corporate restructurings. She advises both international and local clients, and further assists in drafting and preparing court applications.

Maria advises clients in relation to the incorporation and everyday management of companies, as well as on aspects of corporate governance. She assists in drafting and reviewing corporate documents, preparing court applications for the approval of corporate actions, and appearing before the District Courts of Nicosia to present them. Maria is further involved in drafting and reviewing commercial agreements and collaborates with other lawyers of the firm for performing due diligence reviews.

Maria is regularly involved in corporate restructurings, which often encompass cross-border elements, and appears before the District Courts of Cyprus to present the necessary applications and obtain the relevant court orders on these matters.
