Konstantinos is an Associate in the corporate and commercial department of the firm.

Konstantinos specializes in advising international and domestic clients on various aspects of domestic and international tax law including tax issues arising in connection with intellectual property, direct and indirect tax aspects of financing and corporate transactions, including asset and share transfers, as well as employee benefits. He further advises clients in disputes before the Cyprus Tax Authority.

At the same time Konstantinos deals with all aspects of corporate law and advises clients on the incorporation, changes to the corporate structure and Cyprus Companies Law requirements of Cyprus companies.

Konstantinos has experience in advising corporate clients on permanent establishment issues in Cyprus, the applicability of tax incentives and investment schemes, such as the intellectual property taxation regime (IP box regime) and share options, on the tax treatment of different financial products and on the application of Cyprus’ double tax treaties.

He has worked on due diligence reviews of Cypriot companies and assisted clients with the preparation of transfer pricing documentations, in accordance with the current transfer pricing practice in Cyprus, as support documentation filed to the tax authorities in Cyprus to support their transfer pricing practices.

Konstantinos further helps clients meet their disclosure duties, the new reporting rules and operational substance requirements in light of the Base Erosion and Profit Shifting project (BEPS) and European Union’s Directives in order to reduce their exposure and manage complexity.

He regularly attends seminars which address the most recent trends and developments in taxation and closely monitors all the updates and issues of concern to the industry. Konstantinos has published articles on international taxation in well-established journals, targeted to all professionals in the area.

Konstantinos deals with, and advises clients on, a wide spectrum of corporate and commercial law matters including changes in the corporate structure and share capital of companies, amendments of constitutional documents and general corporate matters. In this respect, Konstantinos has experience in drafting and handling corporate court applications, reviewing corporate documents and commercial agreements.

He is regularly involved in carrying out legal due diligence reviews of Cypriot companies in relation to proposed acquisitions and issues corporate capacity legal opinions in this context.

Konstantinos has experience in providing legal and tax advice in M&A projects and on restructuring of international groups, in particular the preparation and review of contractual documentation in this context.

Konstantinos has experience in constitutional, public and administrative law matters and has been involved in a wide variety of public law matters, including human rights violations and violations to the principle of non-discrimination, applications for planning permissions, building permits, administrative fines and tax matters.
