Chrysanthi Epifaniou joined the firm as Senior Associate in 2022. Having acquired diverse work experience in litigation, dealing with a variety of civil litigation cases in a range of contentious matters including contract law, corporate and commercial law, negligence, and tortious claims, as well as employment law, she is now focusing on corporate and commercial law, as well as employment law in a range of contentious and non-contentious matters.

Areas of Practice


Chrysanthi advises on corporate and commercial law matters, including high–value, complex multijurisdictional corporate and commercial disputes involving shareholders’ disputes, investment disputes, oppression on the minority, contentious companies’ dissolutions, derivative actions, commercial assets recovery, corporate fraud, breach of fiduciary duty and other similar claims.
She has extensive experience in employment law matters and represents clients (both employers and employees) in court cases before the Industrial Disputes Tribunal, in connection with employment matters or assists with out of court settlement of employment disputes.
She also has experience in litigation work on various civil law disputes and has successfully represented clients at trial on commercial disputes, construction disputes, employment disputes and libel.
Chrysanthi is an accredited mediator and member of the Cyprus Consumer Centre for Alternative Dispute Resolution.

Chrysanthi acts for both employers and employees, advising on a wide range of contentious and non-contentious employment issues such as dismissals, including unfair dismissal, constructive dismissal, redundancy processes, discrimination, TUPE, grievance and disciplinary procedures, employment contracts, handbooks and policies, and settlement agreements.
She advises on matters related to Immigration Law, including the procedure for acquiring the relevant residence and work permits for employees from EU or third countries, and the posting of workers from other EU member states in Cyprus.
Her clients include local and international corporations or private sector organizations, as well as academic institutions, and companies active in aviation and retail.
During the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020 and 2021, Chrysanthi frequently advised clients on restrictive and lockdown measures, vaccination programmes, remote work policies, and health and safety matters.
She has delivered a number of seminars on employment law and related matters.

Chrysanthi is involved in the drafting and reviewing of contractual agreements in corporate and commercial matters, as well as preparing and providing legal opinions and practical assistance to local and international clients on related legal matters.
She advises on corporate transactions with an employment element, e.g., due diligence process in M&A or other transactions.

Chrysanthi advises on applications for the recognition and enforcement of foreign arbitral awards or foreign court decisions in Cyprus, including applications filed on behalf of the General Attorney for the recognition and enforcement of Russian Court decisions.
