Blockchain in Cyprus

In line with our firm’s commitment to stay at the forefront of developments in niche areas of law, members of our firm attended the recent Cyprus Blockchain Summit that took place in Nicosia.

The event featured prominent speakers from the government, the academic and the business world and the major issues presented and discussed were the core features and benefits of blockchain and Distributed Ledger Technology in general, the future use of smart contracts and the applications of blockchain across different sectors.

Our team will be closely following legal and regulatory developments in this fast-developing field and is anticipating the introduction of the new legal regime advocated by the recently adopted National Blockchain Strategy of Cyprus.
