2nd English – Cypriot Law Day

The Cyprus Bar Association and the Bar Council of England and Wales jointly organized the 2nd English – Cypriot Law Day, on 8 of September 2017, at Columbia Plaza in Limassol. The sessions covered the following topics:
- Recent developments in the Common Law of England and Wales
- Advantages of Arbitration in Dispute Resolution
- Interim preservation of assets and evidence in civil proceedings
- Money laundering, sentencing (financial crime) and confiscation
- Privacy, confidentiality and whistleblower issues
- Fraud, corporate criminal liability, directors’ duties and private prosecutions
- Judicial Review and application of ECHR on public bodies
